Find out what Matt & Tammy are up to!

One of the truisms of owning a boat... there's always something to fix!

These photos are likely from our last sail of 2017 when we experienced actual waves on the reservoir. They weren't exactly ocean-sized swells but really, who cares. It's all relative!

In 2017 we continued to expand our sailing skills upon the Glenmore Reservior. We managed to almost submerge the boat, get ourselves pushed up on the shore and survive a lightning storm with hail (while making our way quickly to shore). There may have been a couple of stressful situations thrown in there, but we had fun and kept at it!

The Glenmore reservoir in Calgary is a very small body of water with a wide range of wind conditions due to the varying topography surrounding the reservoir. It is a good place to start learning the ropes but sometimes the sailing was positively tranquil (translation: we floated).

These photos are the earliest snapshots we have of sailing together in the dinghy.

During the time that we lived with Jerry he was kind to gift us an old Kolibri 12' Atlanta dinghy.
